Chaos Mash is a free encryption utility that let’s you scramble any type of data.

Encrypt any sort of file on your computer. If you need it to be confidential simply “mash” it. Chaos Mash will output any file of your choosing into encrypted data.

Chaos Mash does not require installation, simply copy it to the hard drive or USB device to run. Choose from 45 types of encryption methods. Use these methods with keys you create to keep your data safe.
Warning! If after using this program you decide to delete your original file you MUST remember your key and encryption method and type. Otherwise you can lose your file permanently!

· Encrypts Windows (98,2000,NT - including XP) Files.
· Currently supports 15 encryption Types in 3 Methods. Encryption gets stronger as Type number goes up. Type 1 (lo-level) -> Type 15 (hi-level)
· Methods A and B will produce encrypted files that equal in file size to the original file.
· Blowfish will produce files that are slightly larger than the original file.
· The encryption key is optional. There are no restrictions for the key, you may enter special characters (!@#$...) or spaces and numbers.

· To Encrypt: Be sure and remember your settings and keys. If you want to encrypt File-1 to a file named Mash you would choose File-1 as the input file and then set a file named Mash as the output file. Type in a key if you want to, you can leave the key blank if you want. Choose any Mash Type (1-15) and set Method A or B. Click the Mash button.
· To Decrypt: Be sure and remember your settings and keys. If you encrypted File-A to a file named Mash using Mash Type: 5, Method B, with key: mash. You unencrypt by choosing Mash as the input file and set an output file by naming it. Then enter mash as your key, set Mash Type: 5, check Method B. Then click the Mash button.
