With Disk Cleaner you can easily clean up disk space that is now used by temporary files like those in the system temporary folder, the Internet Explorer Cache and Cookies folder, and the Recycle Bin.

Disk Cleaner is focused on ease of use, speed and a small size, both when downloading and when installed (the installation file is just over 360 kb).

What's New in Disk Cleaner 2.0 alpha1 :

Layout of extra information window (side window) has been improved. This is the most significant change, things are going rather slow.

· This version DOES NOT include support for:
- the recycle bin, internet explorer, opera, Firefox, some MRUs
· It does have:
- Secure Deleting for all files found with text plug-ins (*.dct files). Methods: overwrite with zeros, random data or Gutmann method (which is overkill)
- Give an overview of items (registry and files) found
To select a plug-in to use secure deleting, click in the space where usually the icons are or right-click an item and use the pop-up menu. A plug-in that is selected for secure deleting is indicated with a white check mark in a small green circle. Press the 'C' (configure) button to set the Secure Delete method.
