Tor for Windows is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet.
It promotes anonymous browsing and communication and protects everybody’s privacy. It was originally developed by US Naval Research Laboratory and it is now widely used in various domains and by various users.
Journalists, non-governmental organizations or activists and even military corps use it as a safe and private way to communicate and send or receive informations without being tracked or spied.
Individuals use it as a way of visiting websites, or chatting without any fear of being tracked or redirected. Not even your ISP or any other organization will be able to know your identity while browsing the internet in this way.
Tor's hidden services let users publish web sites and other services without needing to reveal the location of the site.
Of course, Tor is not everything and you should be careful in providing informations about yourself online and you should also use smart-browser that will not reveal system informations on the web.
